International standard school or SBI is a school with education of international standard. At this time, Education in Indonesia is being led to the education of international standards, because international education quality can be considered to improve the quality of education in Indonesia. Starting from the facilities and infrastructure should be international standardized, modern and advanced, using international standard of education and curriculum especially developed countries, using ICT in learning activities, and having professional and adequate human resources. Usually, international standard schools use two languages or bilingual in learning activities, because as we know that in international standard school it is required to master at least two languages such as English language and Indonesian language. International standard school has many advantages such as, cooperation with international schools overseas and international level achievers. In international standard school, students are claimed to be more creative and able to develop their talents. Therefore, Indonesia should have more international standard schools because of several reasons such as, to competing in the international arena, enhancing the quality of education, and improving teacher quality.
At this time, education in Indonesia is less visible in international arena. Therefore, to compete in the international arena, Indonesia should have more schools with international standard, because it can be beneficial to the better education in Indonesia. New students of international standard school have to follow intelligence tests and also tests of academic potential. The process of education in international standard school is students development, a comfortable learning environment, respect for the individual and social community school community.
Indonesia needs to improve the quality of the teacher, so Indonesia needs to have more international standard schools.
